Study Abroad: Seville, Spain

As an intern at the Ecuadorian American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) in Quito spring of 2016, I became interested in studying student mobility between the United States and Ecuador. My time in Quito reinforced my belief that all students should have the right to experience an international education. President Barrack Obama’s program titled 100,000 Strong in the Americas offers a great opportunity for Latin American and Caribbean students to study abroad in the United States, as well as for U.S. students to study abroad in Latin America and the Caribbean. Looking back at the research, student interviews, student surveys, and Senescyt scholarship it is apparent that the majority of these students living in Latin America are motivated to leave their own country in order to pursue their future career.
I interned in Madrid, Spain in the summer of 2017 at the Multimedia Agency Tilomotion. This was a worthwhile opportunity where I analyzed social media strategies and collaborated with my social media team in weekly presentations and conferences. I learned how to create blogs according to the latest social media trends. One of my favorite and most successful blog posts was blogging about applications for traveling. In my blog post, I mention the latest travel applications for millennials such as Facebook (94%), Instagram (71%), Trip Advisor, Whatsapp, Snapchat, and Twitter (14%).

I decided to study abroad in Seville, Spain in the summer of 2016 with ISA (international studies abroad). I had the most valuable experience abroad and met some amazing people whom I still keep in contact with. I traveled all over Europe and immersed myself in different cultures. My favorite experiences abroad were getting lost, engaging with locals, leaving my comfort zone, and creating valuable memories I will never forget.
