About Me

Anchor 1

My name is Daniela Moya and I am a senior at the University of Florida double-majoring in International Studies and Spanish. My undergraduate experience has greatly impacted and shaped my global perspective. I have been very fortunate and have been presented with many opportunities along the way that have helped me learn a lot about myself, my passions, and my goals. I am a proud Gator and International Scholars Program Scholar.

My global learning experience began at a very early age. I was born in Houston, Texas but all my family is from Guayaquil, Ecuador. After living a couple of years in Texas, we moved to Syracuse, New York. After living a year in Syracuse, we moved to Florida. Not only did my family move a lot, but we traveled once a year. From then on, I was exposed to several different cultures and languages in my childhood. I then developed an interest in the world and wanted to learn about other cultures and see the world from a different perspective.

Through my involvement with international organizations such as UF Navigators, International Scholars Program, International Studies Abroad (ISA) Global Ambassador as well as my study abroad in Sevilla, Spain, as an intern at the Ecuadorian American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM), and internship  in Madrid, Spain, I have internationalized my Gator experience and gained various skills such as cross-cultural communication skills, excellent network abilities, collaboration, interpersonal influence, and resilience.
